My Man Of The Year 2008

No, not either of the shitwits in this picture but Muntadhar al-Zaidi - justifiably outraged Iraqi journo, phantom shoe-flinger and deservedly popular hero around the world.
Nice article by Richard Herring here...
I only hope that any of the fuckers who harm a hair on his head while he's incarcerated get their just desserts too.

I wholeheartedly agree with your choice there.
The whole situation was just so comical and it was an awesome thing to do. The article you linked to really got the spirit of it all.

What flattens me though is that the people who actually get him down are the other journalists.
It's like: "Yes, please Mr. Bush. Come to our country and start an unequal war, kill thousands of people, then present yourself as our big savior after you made us dependent on your support to rebuild the country. And when you come back on your Goodbye-Tour, we will be so grateful and happy to see you again and only write good things about you and nobody should ever dare to say something against you, let alone throw a show at you...".
Fuckers. I think the only true journalist in that room was Muntadhar al-Zaidi. He didn't forget.

And the cheek to claim afterwards: "I don't know what made him throw that shoe"... Oh, really? *headdesk*
